Implicit measures are easy to create in Power BI, but they cause problems in production reports. This post explains what they are, why you should avoid them, and shows two practical ways to find visuals that use implicit measures: one manual using PBIR files, and one automatic using Measure Killer.

Measure Killer's "Clean your model" tab helps Power BI developers clean their models beyond just deleting unused artifacts. It finds unnecessary columns, measures, visuals, pages, and relationships that make models larger than needed. It is aimed at intermediate to advanced developers.

Power BI models can become hard to understand when they contain many relationships. This makes it difficult to know how slicers and filters affect visuals and DAX results. To solve this, Measure Killer 2.9.2 introduced the Table relations feature, which shows all possible ways one table can filter another.
